Odd Book Titles

While I continue to struggle juggling the next serious post (on Lady Baret) with a garden that fights back, I just thought I’d throw these little gems your way. They are the shortlist for the Diagram Prize for the Oddest Title of the Year:

I Was Tortured By the Pygmy Love Queen

How to Write a How to Write Book

Are Women Human? And Other International Dialogues

Cheese Problems Solved

If You Want Closure in Your Relationship, Start With Your Legs (the eventual winner)

People who Mattered in Southend and Beyond: From King Canute to Dr Feelgood

Others that nearly made the shortlist include:

Drawing and Painting the Undead
Stafford Pageant: The Exciting Innovative Years 1901-1952
Tiles of the Unexpected: A Study of Six Miles of Geometric Tile Patterns on the London Underground

So, when you write that novel, now you will know just what sort of title you can use to get noticed!!

About Jules Frusher

With an MA in Creative and Critical Writing, I am passionate about the written word. The other great loves of my life are all things Medieval (especially Hugh le Despenser the Younger) and animal behaviour (especially canids and corvids). Give me a castle in the wilderness (with Broadband!) and I'll be happy!
